01 / The story

A personal testimony.
A faithful God.

Mercy met him
in the valley.
Jesus called
him home.

Can God redeem the story you are most afraid to tell?

Anthoney Teague Farmer grew up in a pastor’s home, surrounded by the language of faith. Yet behind familiar words, addiction and shame were pulling his life apart. A Door of Hope tells how Jesus met him there and called him into repentance, surrender, and restoration.

His testimony unfolds alongside the book of Hosea, where God exposes His people’s unfaithfulness and calls them back to covenant love. Through personal story, biblical teaching, and historical context, Anthoney invites readers to face what has kept them bound and follow Jesus into freedom and wholehearted devotion.

For the one seeking freedom.
For the family praying for a prodigal.
For the Church listening for the call to return.

02 / The thread of Hosea

Hosea 14:9

At the Empty Cross Prayer Garden in Kerrville, Anthoney sensed the Holy Spirit drawing his attention to Hosea 14:9. He wrote the verse on a broken white stone, then opened the compass on his phone: 149° SE.

For him, that moment became a personal call to walk in the ways of the Lord and help others do the same. The questions that began beside a white stone became a thread through a testimony of mercy, covenant, and a life restored.

The story unfolds in Chapter Fourteen,
“The Compass of Covenant.”

The valley
became
a doorway.

A passage from the opening pages of A Door of Hope.

The Valley of Achor first appears in the book of Joshua. It was the place where Israel confronted the consequences of hidden sin in the camp. The name itself means trouble. It was a place associated with exposure, judgment, and loss. Nothing about the valley suggested hope. It represented when a nation discovered that its buried secret had poisoned the entire community.

Centuries later, however, God spoke through the prophet Hosea and made a promise that would transform the meaning of that valley forever.

“I will make the Valley of Achor a door of hope” Hosea 2:15.

God did not erase the valley. He did not pretend the trouble never happened. Instead, He transformed its meaning. The very place that symbolized failure became the place through which restoration began. The valley became a doorway.

This book is about that doorway.
